Our Story
Pavlos Karamitros and Iro Stathopoulou opened the first SportEdge store in October 2014 with €78,000 in personal savings and a bank loan they signed for together. Their thesis was that Athens — a city of running clubs, weekend football leagues, and Olympic Stadium runners — deserved a sports shop that treated specification as seriously as price. Eleven years later, that thesis is built into the floor: every shoe on the wall has a measured drop, a tested midsole compound, and a recommendation paired to a runner profile. We do not stock everything. We stock what works, then we explain why.
